Project of the month: «China: No more hiding, let's reach out to the universities»

We hope to be able to safely carry out all our projects this year. The Chinese churches wish to reach out to the young generation with modern means. We would like to help them in doing so with the following projects:
- Training centers for young adults (with cafeteria, operational since 2008): training of youth leaders, furthering training courses in business economy, meeting place
- Distribution of 120'000 youth bibles (N.T.) in magazine size: «A lively Bible, adapted to young people's living-conditions.» (CHF 5.-/bible)
- Beginning of production of The Old Testament and a youth song book
Moreover, we are planning to distribute again some 500'000 Bible study brochures and Christian books among the youth.

Swiss goal: 36 seminars for around 3'000 participants. (Pastors, leaders, women, youth…) Cost: CHF 60.00 per participant. Donations with a Swiss 'Postcard'

  Secret Believers in South-East Asia

Swiss goal: Meetings and conferences for 300 participants. Cost: CHF 100.00 per participant. Donations with a Swiss 'Postcard'

  Church and community awakening in Egypt

Swiss goal: Support 120 co-workers. Cost per co-worker: CHF 50.00 per month. Donations with a Swiss 'Postcard'

Socio-Economic and Development Projects – Open Doors (Switzerland)

  Colombia: Attending school in the Youth and Children’s Center (Safe-house)

Swiss goal: Extend the school program to 10th and 11th year. OD Switzerland is committed to support this project with CHF 66’000.00 Donations with a Swiss 'Postcard'

  Nigeria: Give a future to Christian children

Swiss goal: Support 5 Christian schools, for approx. 900 children. Cost: CHF 19‘500.00 per school. Donations with a Swiss 'Postcard'

  Central Asia: Micro-credits for Muslim Background Believers

Swiss goal: 15 new micro-credits for persecuted Christians in the whole region. Donations with a Swiss 'Postcard'

How can I give to support persecuted Christians?

Open Doors is not affiliated to any Church denomination nor supported by any government. Therefore all our actions and projects are only supported by individuals or, from time to time, by some local Churches.
